Family-raised Bernedoodles in Northern Colorado
We are blessed to live on a beautiful 4 acer property with amazing mountain views! We wanted our children to be raised in the country with animals, lots of room to run and play and to have opportunities that city life just can't offer. Other than our dogs we have a horse, barn cats and chickens. As a family we work hard and play hard together. We love going to the lake, playing board games, hiking and of course playing with puppies. All of us have a special part to play in loving on and raising our puppies.
We are a no-nonsense breeder... committed to doing things the right way with integrity, transparency, care and lots of FUN! We don’t cut corners or sugarcoat the process. From health testing and puppy development to communication and placement, we are straightforward, honest, and hands-on every step of the way. Why We Love Bernese Mountain Dogs & Why We Chose Ultra Bernedoodles
Our love for Bernese Mountain Dogs began long before we ever owned one. For years, we dreamed of adding a Berner to our family. At the time, we already had our beloved St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix, Tinley, and five young children, so we figured we'd wait until the timing was right.
Around that same time, some dear friends welcomed a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog puppy into their family. We loved watching her grow and, if we're honest, probably became even more convinced that one day we'd have a Berner of our own.
About a year later, those friends felt God calling them to become missionaries in Thailand. One afternoon, they came to us and said it would be an honor if we would give their sweet Bernese Mountain Dog, Bella, a loving home. We were completely overwhelmed with joy.
It felt like an answered prayer. The dog we had dreamed about for years was suddenly becoming part of our family and we couldn't believe it. Then came another beautiful reminder that God cares about even the smallest details. Her name was Bella. Long before we had children, our very first dog was also named Bella (see picture, Black Lab/Border Collie). She had been the sweetest, most faithful companion and held such a special place in our hearts. Hearing that this precious Bernese was named Bella too felt like more than a coincidence. It felt like a gift and a gentle reminder that she was exactly the dog meant for our family.
Our new Bella quickly became everything we had hoped a Bernese Mountain Dog would be... gentle, patient, affectionate, and completely devoted to our children. She loved being wherever we were, whether that meant playing in the yard, joining us on adventures, or simply lying nearby while our busy family went about daily life. She didn't just make us fall in love with the breed. She became the reason we wanted to share these incredible dogs with other families.
As much as we adore Bernese Mountain Dogs, we also recognized that many families want a smaller dog with MUCH less shedding, improved longevity, and greater adaptability for modern lifestyles. That's what led us to the Ultra Bernedoodle.
